Effect of CO2 on Algae Micro- and Macronutrients
Identify the relative quantities of macro (proteins, carbohydrates and lipids) and micronutrients (Fe,S, P, K, etc.) and their distribution in Algae that have been exposed to ambient and elevated levels of CO2 (Carbon dioxide). Four varieties of algae are examined with infrared and x-ray microscopies, which are sensitive to the macro and micronutrients, respectively. This is important, since it will reveal how the algae will react to predicted changes in levels of CO2.
