Tasks and responsibilities:
Initially, the student will compile a comprehensive bibliography of relevant publications, make copies of articles, initiate interlibrary loan requests, etc. Subsequently, the student will request quantitative information from Buddhist organizations. (This latter step may sound simple, but it will be extremely time-intensive -- especially given the large number of Buddhist groups in the U.S.) If these tasks can be completed before the end of the academic year, the student will then work with me to sort and tabulate the data.
