Digitization of Middle East Slides

This project involves working under the general supervision of myself and Krystyna Mattusiak at UWM libraries to digitize and label my 600 images of Egypt, Jerusalem, and Greece. These are basically geographical, architectural and anthropological in nature. This project will require a trained student working 20 hour a week for one semester to scan, process, label and enter. The collection will be fully searchable.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Students will scan and label and upload images. Students will learn about Middle East and Mediterranean geography, about important archeological locations and something about human geography of the region through this process.
