Management and Analysis of Health Care Interview Data

The data base consists of many hundreds of personal interviews on topics of health care organization, delivery and policy since 1975. The data focus on the adoption of new technologies in medical care (including both clinical procedures or equipment and organizational and policy innovations.) The data set is in the process of being loaded into a software that permits retrieval of themes for sociological analysis.

Tasks and responsibilities:

1.To work the faculty investigator, one or more other students, and a secretary to complete computerization of the data and explore the data retrieval potentialities of the software.

2. To work with the faculty member to assemble library books and articles useful for analysis of the data.

3. Possible participation in new data collection as part of a team interviewing, making appointments, retrieving surveys, tallying data, etc.
