Office of Undergraduate Research

Depression Treatment Specialty Clinic

We are conducting a variety of studies ranging from studies of psychotherapy for depression with clinically depressed clients to studies of specific processes involved in depression treatment using undergraduate participants and laboratory tasks (such as computerized tasks). We are particularly interested in working with ethnic minorities and have several studies related to Latino and African American depression. Ethnic minority students are encouraged to contact us.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Wide ranging depending on skill and experience, including data entry, administrative, running participants through experimental protocols, and coding the behavior of therapists and clients in videotaped psychotherapy sessions. There is also potential for the student to develop his/her own research projects.
