Measure of Cortical Inhibition Modulated by Task Requirement

This study will measure cortical inhibition by measuring muscle activities (EMG) upon application of transcranial magnetic stimulation on the cortex of a person. We will investigate whether the amount of inhibition a person has is modulated by their intention to produce force or to relax their muscles.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Students will set up the experiment, learn the neurophysiology behind it, conduct the experiment, test subjects, analyze data, perform statistical analysis, and write a conference and journal papers.
