1. How is the password for a PantherList different from my ePanther password?

The password for your PantherList subscriptions is used to edit subscription properties for your list membership, and is not connected to your ePanther password in any way. To get the password for your PantherList subscriptions, or to change it, visit the list info page for the list you're subscribed to, usually http://listserv.uwm.edu/mailman/listinfo/LISTNAME - where LISTNAME is the name of the PantherList you're subscribed to.

2. How do I find out which lists I'm subscribed to?

To find out which lists you are subscribed to, log in to PantherList at: http://pantherlist.uwm.edu/ and click on the "Display names of lists to which you are subscribed" link. It will display all the PantherLists you're subscribed to, and who the owner of each list is.

3. How do I send messages to a list?

To send messages to a list, simply address it to list-name@uwm.edu where 'list-name' is the name of the list. Depending on the configuration of the list you're trying to send to, your message may have to be approved by a moderator before it's sent to the other subscribers of the list.

4. I got an automated message saying my post was held for approval. How come?

Depending on how the list you're trying to send to is configured, messages may have to be approved by a moderator or owner before they're sent out to the rest of the subscribers on the list. Some lists, like the 'Announcement List' type, only allow messages from an owner or other approved members and are not intended for replies or discussion. If you'd like to find out who the owner of the list you're trying to post to is, log into PantherList and click on the "Display names of lists to which you are subscribed" link.

5. How do I remove my address from a mailing list?

Again, depending on the configuration of the list you're subscribed to, removing yourself may or may not be an option. If you'd like to un-subscribe from a PantherList, visit the list's information page at http://listserv.uwm.edu/mailman/listinfo/LISTNAME -- where LISTNAME is the name of the PantherList you're trying to un-subscribe from.
