Map to the Planetarium
More detailed map to the Planetarium

The Manfred Olson Planetarium is located inside the UW-Milwaukee Physics building on the corner of Kenwood Blvd and Cramer St.

1900 E Kenwood Blvd
Milwaukee, WI, 53211

Find us using Mapquest or refer to the map to the right.

The UW-Milwaukee campus is located on Milwaukee's upper east side, east of the Milwaukee River, just north of Locust Street, approximately one-quarter mile west of Lake Michigan, and just south of the city of Shorewood.

Due to construction on the UWM campus, some parking lots may be temporarily closed. Please arrive early to ensure a parking space.

The main entrance of the Physics building is on 1900 E Kenwood Blvd (star on first map above). The number on the building (1964) is the year it was built, not the address. To find the planetarium, go up the steps to the main entrance, and then walk past the vending machines and the bathrooms. Continue down the hallway to the very end where you will see the planetarium doors on your right.

If you need a wheel-chair accessible entrance, use the path between the Physics building and the Engineering & Mathematical Sciences building, off Cramer Street (see second map). The entrance to Physics is on your right. Once inside the building, you will see the planetarium door immediately to your left.

Parking

Parking can be tricky, especially when classes are in session, so please allow time to park. The closest parking lot is the Science parking lot (see second map above). It is off Kenwood Boulevard, west of Maryland Avenue.

The machine accepts cash, Visa, and Mastercard. Note the number of the parking space you choose. You will need this number to purchase a parking ticket from one of the ticket booths, shown below, for the amount of time you expect to be parked there.
