Friday Night Show
July 13-August 10
7:00-8:00 pm
Location: Manfred Olson Planetarium in the Physics building
(See map)
Admission price: $2
During Summer Stars & Their Myths, the audience will learn the tale of Hercules and see how his heroic stories connect to summer constellations. According to Greek mythology, Hercules was challenged to perform twelve labors including battling the famous lion of Nemea, the multi-headed monster Hydra, and a fierce guardian dragon among others. After learning the myths, audience members will have a chance to find the constellations in the city and country sky projected on the dome. Summer Stars & their Myths is the planetarium's only Friday Night Show program during the summer season. Visitors will leave prepared to stargaze on warm summer nights.

A 5-minute Q&A session will conclude the show. Those interested in attending the event can obtain additional information about parking and directions at the UWM Planetarium's website, planetarium.uwm.edu. Please note the UWM Planetarium is wheelchair accessible and these shows are not recommended for children under the age of five. The planetarium is open to the public and general admission is $2.
