Planetarium's Public Shows
The UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium offers ongoing shows and special events for the general public. All public shows are intended for audiences over the age of five. (Some aspects of the planetarium experience -- specifically the darkened room -- may not be suitable for young children.)
The planetarium is wheelchair accessible. In addition, it is climate-controlled with comfortable seats. Most of our programs are free, except for the Friday Night Show with its nominal fee of $3.00 per person and some of the Special Events. Donations are always greatly appreciated.
The Friday Night Show is only $3.00, and is on Friday evenings, 7:00-7:55 p.m. Show topics change every 4-6 weeks. See the Friday Night Show archive for sample topics.
AstroBreak is FREE! It is offered on selected Wednesdays from 12:15-12:45 p.m. Each show features discussion of a unique astronomical topic. See the archived shows page.
Stargazing is FREE! Join us on the Observing deck of the UWM Physics building as we gaze through telescopes at the night sky. We will view the Moon, planets, star clusters, and other available astronomical objects throughout the year. We will meet on select weeknights throughout the year.
