Special Event – Solstice Social

Solstice SocialJune 20 and 21, 2010

June 20 from 2-3 pm and June 21 from 7-8pm

Join us at the planetarium for two great celebrations: Father's Day and the Summer Solstice! Welcome in warm nights and the constellations of the summer sky in this fun astronomical event. Come either on June 20th from 2-3pm to enjoy a special Father's Day activity or on the actual Summer Solstice, June 21st from 7-8pm.

The show will focus on the significance of the Summer Solstice and include Greek myths surrounding some of the summer constellations such as the hero, Hercules and the centaur, Sagittarius. This event only happens once a year, so don't miss the chance to cool off under the stars with a guided tour through the night sky.

Free ice cream provided by Cold Stone Creamery will be available after the event.
