Special Event – Summer 2007

Activities for Families: Summer 2007!

This summer, we offer two separate themes that families can explore with hands-on activities and a planetarium show. These themes are: The Night Sky and A Trip to the Planets.

1. The Night Sky: See stars and constellations on the dome of our planetarium theater; make your own constellations; use a star chart to find stars in the sky.
   This program is offered on the following dates and times:

   June 12th (Tues.) from 10:00-11:30 am

   June 29th (Fri.) from 4:00-5:30 pm

   July 14th (Sat.) from 1:00-2:30 pm

   Aug 19th (Sun.) from 1:00-2:30 pm

2. A Trip to the Planets: Make a model of the Earth and the Moon system; construct a model of the solar system and take a tour of it; find out more about the planets in our solar system and beyond!
   This program is offered on the following dates:

   June 19th (Tues.) from 10:00-11:30 am

   July 6th (Fri.) from 4:00-5:30 pm

   July 21th (Sat.) from 1:00-2:30 pm

   Aug 26th (Sun.) from 1:00-2:30 pm
