The University Police Department is located in the West Tower of the Sandburg Residence Hall at 3410 N. Maryland Avenue on the ground floor and reports to the Division of Finance and Administrative Affairs. We are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Police Officers in the UWM Police Department derive their primary authority from Wisconsin State Statute 36.11(2) which gives campus police officers jurisdiction over all University Property. Some of the UWM properties include the Campus Proper, the Kenwood Campus, Kenilworth Square, Great Lakes Research Facility, University Services and Research, and the School of Continuing Education.
