Strong Arm Robbery Off Campus Near N. Downer Ave at Linnwood Ave

On Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00am, a strong arm robbery occurred on N. Downer Ave at Linnwood Ave.

A person not affiliated with the university was walking a few blocks south of campus. While looking down at his cell phone, an unknown suspect approached, pulled the phone out of the persons hand and pushed the subject down to the ground. The suspect then ran from the scene headed eastbound.

Suspect Description

Black male, 5ft 5in tall, Average build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Strong Armed Robbery Adjacent to UWM Campus

On Monday, April 8, 2013, at about 9:00 p.m. a strong armed robbery occurred on the city sidewalk at 3280 N. Cramer St.A UWM student encountered three suspects who punched him several times, knocked him down and took money.After taking the money, the suspects fled on foot southbound on Cramer St.

Suspect descriptions

Suspect1: Black male, 18-20 years old, 6’2”, wearing a baseball cap

Suspect2: Black male, 18-20 years old, 6’2”, wearing a baseball cap

Suspect3: Black male, 18-20 years old, 6’4”, wearing an unknown color hoodie

ARMED ROBBERY NEAR UWM CAMPUS

UPDATE: 3/27/13

Milwaukee Police reported that they have made an arrest in case.  Investigation is ongoing.

On Tuesday, March 26th, 2013 at approximately 9:35 p.m. a report of a robbery occurred at the intersection of E. Newport Ave. and N. Newhall St.

UWM Police were advised that 3 suspects, one armed with a gun, approached 3 UW Milwaukee students and demanded their property. After obtaining the victims' property, the suspects fled going east on Newport Ave. and then north into the alley.

Suspect #1

-Black Male, thin build, short hair, wearing dark jeans, black hooded sweatshirt, displayed a black handgun. 

Suspect #2

-Black Male, thin build, short hair, wearing dark jeans, black hooded sweatshirt

Suspect #3

-Black Male, thin build, short hair, wearing dark jeans, black hooded sweatshirt
