Utility Tunnel Information

The Campus utility tunnels are a series of underground walk through tunnels and box conduits constructed in 1968 to connect the Central Heating and Chilling Plant to campus buildings. Together they extend about one mile and house the chilled water, steam, condensate and compressed air piping needed to provide services to campus buildings. The tunnels have gone through extensive repairs and renovations in 2009/2010 to insure their reliability and continued service for many more years to come.
