About the Alpha Retirement Project

P1000307The Alpha Computing Environment (Alphas) has served the campus for many years in various capacities, including: email, file storage and web site hosting. In recent years these functions have been subsumed by other services, such as PantherLink, PantherFile and the Content Management System. While major services have been recreated some files and processes are still actively running in this environment.

We have been working to identify the files, processes, etc. remaining on the legacy environment and are coordinating with the individuals and support staff directly impacted.
