Holiday Hours
The box office will be closed December 21, 2009 through January 17, 2010.

From January 18 to January 23, 2010, the box office will be open 12 noon - 4pm.

Regular hours will resume on Monday, January 25, 2010.
The Peck School of the Arts Box Office is located in the Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts, 2419 E. Kenwood Blvd. Box office hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 am to 5 pm and prior to performances. (For performances in the Mainstage Theatre, the Recital Hall, and the Kenilworth building, the box office opens its satellite location prior to curtain. Please contact the box office for specific night and weekend performance hours.)
Please call the box office for accommodations for patrons with special needs and group sales availability.

The Nohl Fellows: Program Two: An Evening with Iverson White

The second of three programs featuring current recipients of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Mary L. Nohl Fund for Individual Artists Fellowship and offered in conjunction with their exhibition at Inova/Kenilworth (arts.uwm.edu/inova). This screening features the work of Iverson White, showcasing White as director, photographer writer and actor. Among the works to screen: The Funeral, Self-Determination, and The Johnson Girls. The third Nohl program will be presented on December 9th. These programs are co-presented by Inova.

UWM Symphony Band & UWM University Band
Friday, 12/04/2009 – 7:30 p.m.

This concert begins with a performance of the UWM University Band, representing students from nearly every academic discipline on the UWM campus. UWM Director of Bands John Climer and Graduate conductors Nicholas Carlson, Joel Fenelon, Michael Neumeyer and Rosemary Walzer conduct. The UWM Symphony Band (Scott R. Corley, conductor) will perform a musical program to commemorate 2009 as the International Year of Astronomy. Selections include Timothy Broege's Sinfonia XVI (Transcendental Vienna), Jonathan Newman's Moon by Night, and a work originally premiered by the UWM Band Department, As We Shine, Singing Over Waterless Seas by Anthony Suter.

This comedy of lunatics, lovers and poets and their enchanting collision in the Athenian wood has been delighting audiences for over 400 years. Shakespeare’s powerful language evokes a contested world of light and shadow, where all is resolved and mostly reconciled through simpleness and duty, and the power of the unleashed imagination.

Artists Brent Budsberg & Shana McCaw, Xav Leplae and Iverson White (Established) and Bobby Ciraldo & Andrew Swant, Tate Bunker, Frankie Latina and Barbara Miner report in a year after being selected as 2008 Nohl Fellows as part of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Mary L. Nohl Fellowships for Individual Artists program. The exhibition brings together new work by seven of Greater Milwaukee’s most talented established and emerging artists working in a range of media. A gallery talk begins at 6:30 pm.

Youth Wind Ensemble II performs under John Woger, principal guest conductor, as well as Michael Neumeyer and Rosemary Walzer, graduate conducting associates. Youth Wind Ensemble I will perform a program of the symphonic wind works of contemporary composer Michael Markowski. The program is highlighted by the performance of the recently premiered piecejointly commissioned by the (Hartland) Arrowhead High School Bands and the UWM Youth Wind Ensembles program.
