Also required for the audition is an unofficial copy of the high school transcript, sent by email to by the Wednesday prior to the chosen audition date. For further questions about the undergraduate admissions process, please call the Dance Office at 414-229-2571.

Video Audition

However, if a student has been admitted to another institution’s dance program, cannot attend the required entrance audition, and wishes to attend UW-Milwaukee’s Dance Program instead, the following materials must be submitted for dance faculty consideration:

  • Work Sample DVD or URLs: must include 5-10 minutes of technique class, and 2-3 minutes of performance/choreography (solo preferred). URLs should be included in the Online Survey (see below); DVDs must be submitted to the Dance Office in Mitchell 345.
  • Online Survey that collects a variety of information, including a Statement of Purpose (why are you choosing to pursue dance at UW-Milwaukee), your Contact Information, Educational and Artistic History, and Work Sample Descriptions. Access here.
  • College transcripts (unofficial is fine) if transferring from another university and copy of the admission letter if available.

All video applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and must be submitted by July 1 for fall admission and December 1 for spring admission. The entrance audition is required to be considered for Dance Incoming Student Scholarship.
