Dancer, teacher and choreographer, Diana LeMense grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Barcelona, Spain. She began her dance studies at the Makaroff School of Ballet in Appleton, Wisconsin and her performance career with Wisconsin Ballet Theater. In the years since, she has dedicated herself to the investigation of a variety of dance forms, movement traditions and somatic practices including ballet, modern, West African, flamenco, American folk dance, Iyengar Yoga and Pilates, and as a choreographer, teacher and performer, she draws regularly from all of these movement traditions. She obtained an MFA in Dance from UWM and has taught for the Peck School of the Arts Dance Department since 2001. She is the Director of the Dance Program at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School and serves on the faculty at Danceworks. Her most recent choreographic credits include The Secret Garden for DSHA, The Little Engine That Could for First Stage and Take a Bite for DPC. Diana performed with Danceworks Performance Company from 2002-2010.
