Samantha Wood


Samantha WoodSamantha Wood graduated from UW Parkside with a BA in Fitness Management in 2002 and from there went on to coach recreation as well as competitive gymnastics for four years. She now spends her time teaching an after school hip hop program through the Boys and Girls Club, teaches at various studios and recently became the Co-director of CIC dance group in Highland Park,Illinois. Sam also is a former member of the internationally recognized hip hop group Dance 2XS and has been a memeber of other Chicago groups such as Nonstop and Redefinition. She has performed with artists Neil Diamond, local artist Cincere and up and coming artist C- Piepz. Sam has also twice performed on Oprah with the Black Eyed Peas for her final "Favorite Things" episode and helped to create (along with 20 other dancers) the largest flash mob to date for Oprahs 24th anniversary. Sam continues to further her dance training by attending Monsters of Hip Hop conventions, where she was a finalist for their end of the year show and also attends workshop and master classes in the Milwaukee/Chicago areas as well as throughout the Midwest, Los Angeles and New York City.
