Most Dance Workshops and Classes are held in Mitchell Hall. Mainstage Theatre located in Theatre Building.

New Dancemakers: Limitless High School Dance Day

Friday, December 13, 2013 from 10am-2pm, $15 per student UWM Dance invites middle and high school teachers to bring their students to campus for a matinee performance of New Dancemakers: Limitless, followed by a talkback with student choreographers and performers. After a quick lunch, the students then participate in two technique workshops and a composition workshop led by our internationally known faculty. Registration form is linked above.

New Dancemakers: Limitless Studio Workshop Day

Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 1-5:30pm, $20 per student (including New Dancemakers: Limitless ticket) and $12 for companion New Dancemakers: Limitless tickets UWM Dance invites studio directors and teachers to bring their students to campus for three workshops in dance technique and composition led by our internationally known faculty. After a short break, they attend the New Dancemakers: Limitless matinee performance, followed by a talkback with the student choreographers and performers. (Parents unconnected to a dance studio are welcome to register their sons/daughters individually as well). Registration form is linked above.

Winterdances High School Dance Day

Community Participation-Dance Technique Classes

Milwaukee dance community members and UWM Dance alumni are permitted to participate in dance technique classes when space is available. In order to attend, please purchase a voucher (for insurance/liability purposes) and talk to the instructor of the class ahead of time. Some days may not be open to community members, so you must talk to the instructor for each day you’d like to participate. Class schedule can be found at schedule.uwm.edu. Local professionals pay $11, and alumni and current dance majors pay $6 per class voucher. Please mention your Alumni status at the PSOA Box Office prior to purchasing your voucher. The Box Office is located off the parking lot of the Zelazo Center, 2419 E. Kenwood Blvd.
