Dustin DeGolier
Dustin DeGolier is a freelance musician currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Performance with emphasis in jazz guitar at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. A native of Northwestern Wisconsin, he began studying guitar and music theory with Manfred Schonauer at the age of eleven. In addition to receiving the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award during high school, Dustin was selected twice to perform with the Wisconsin State Music Association Honors Jazz Band. Since then he has studied with Billy Barnard of the University of Minnesota Duluth, as well as UW-Milwaukee faculty members Pete Billmann, Elina Chekan, and Don Linke. He has participated in master classes with renowned guitarists Mark Whitfield and Bruce Forman, and assists McNally Smith College of Music’s Chris Olson with the Shell Lake Arts Center’s annual Guitar and Bass Camp. Dustin maintains a regular performance schedule with groups throughout Northwestern Wisconsin.
