Beth Sacharski, lecturer, came to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2011. Ms. Sacharski specializes in Orff-Schulwerk having completed two levels of certification, been active in the Milwaukee Chapter since 1972, and chaired the Hospitality Committee at the National Orff-Schulwerk convention in Milwaukee in 2010. She is a specialist in elementary general music and has taught in the New Berlin Public Schools for 36 years. Beth plays and teaches the soprano, alto, and tenor recorder. Beth is qualified to instruct the technology based music curriculum by Yamaha - MIE (Music in Education) program having taught it to the entire student population in several schools in the District of New Berlin for 10 years. Each NBPS elementary school assignment had a choral component – all boys’, all girls’, or mixed chorus with school and community performances. Beth accompanies the UWM group Vocal Tapestry that performs at WMEA music convention and throughout Wisconsin.
