Rebecca Littman's background in historical musicology lead naturally to her chosen profession as a Music Librarian. Since arriving in Milwaukee in 1998 she has forged strong ties to the Music Department, teaching Graduate Research Methods for three years and performing with the Collegium Musicum on occasion. Mentoring the students in the Coordinated Degree program in Musicology and Library Science is one of the most rewarding aspects of the job at UWM, reminding her regularly why she does what she does.
Rebecca is a member of the Music Library Association, The International Association of Music Libraries, the Music OCLC Users Group (MOUG), and the Music Library Association Midwest Chapter, serving as the webmaster for the last two. She is actively involved with all of these organizations in a variety of ways that include serving on several committees and as a frequent presenter and panel member.
