Music MM
The Department of Music offers a graduate program of study in music, preparing the student for a career in a performing area, music education, music history and literature, conducting, or theory and composition. The Master of Music program permits concentration in performance (voice or instrument), chamber music performance, conducting, music education, music history and literature, theory and composition, collaborative piano (vocal or instrumental), and string pedagogy.
The Department of Music offers a MM/MLIS coordinated degree program in cooperation with the School of Information Studies to prepare students for positions as music librarians.
To be admitted to the Department of Music, applicants (incoming freshmen and transfers) must first apply to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and meet general university academic requirements.
