John will demonstrate basic concepts and then allow time for participants to try things out. There will also be plenty of time for questions. The session will be valuable for guitarists of all levels including those who play solo or accompany themselves singing. Printed materials will be provided.
"Some ideas are so big they'll guide you throughout your musical life... no matter what kind of guitar you play or style of music you love." – John Knowles, cgp
John Knowles has worked with the world's finest guitarists including Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Lenny Breau, and Tommy Emmanuel. His music has earned a Grammy and two Emmy nominations. Guitarists around the world learn from his FingerStyle Quarterly. In 1996, Chet Atkins awarded John an Honorary CGP (Certified Guitar Player) and in 2004, John was inducted into the National Thumb Picker's Hall of Fame for the second time. John got his start on a plastic ukulele purchased with money he earned delivering newspapers.
