Ken Daniel, conductor
Dr. Sharon A. Hansen, professor of record

Debuting in the Fall of 1999 as a performing ensemble with a unique repertoire and style, the Gospel Choir has become one of the most popular choral organizations on campus. Meeting only one evening a week, the group offers a flexible way to participate in choral activities to those students who desire evening scheduling options. The Gospel Choir often performs off-campus by invitation at church services and revivals, and at special community events. Gospel Choir members are mature in their understanding of the servant-nature of their role in the ensemble. Membership is highly competitive, and is obtained by audition and instructor permission. (NOTE: This class requires previous UWM choral experience; it is unlikely that freshmen or those without significant choral experience are accepted for membership.)
