The school's alumni in the fields of art and design, dance, film, music, and theatre have played influential roles in arts organizations, schools, and businesses, particularly in Milwaukee and Wisconsin but also across the country and throughout the world.

  •    The Peck School of the Arts is also one of the premiere performance venues in the region with a variety of performance spaces, including the 750-seat Helen Bader Concert Hall, the 550-seat Mainstage Theatre, the 300-seat Music Recital Hall, and more intimate black-box spaces for theatre and dance.
  •    The internationally renowned Fine Arts Quartet offers a series of acclaimed chamber music concerts on campus every year and tours the world's major music centers as a cultural ambassador for UWM.
  •    The Institute of Visual Arts (Inova) has been called one of the best exhibition spaces for contemporary art in the United States for its adventurous presentations of the work of emerging and mid-career artists from around the world.
  •    The Music Department's internationally recognized guitar program offers the only BFA and MFA degree programs where a student can specialize in classical, finger-style, jazz, or flamenco guitar styles.
  •    The Dance Department's summer-intensive MFA degree program is structured to meet the scheduling needs of professional dancers and choreographers. This innovative master's program has attracted exceptionally talented dancers from New York, California, the Midwest, and other areas of the U.S.
  •    Peck School of the Arts faculty and students benefit from UWM's urban setting which provides wide-ranging opportunities to learn outside the classroom through the school's extensive partnerships with professional arts organizations and businesses, ranging from the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, the Milwaukee Art Museum, Danceworks, the Milwaukee Film Festival, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra to countless local graphic design and marketing firms.
  •    The Peck School of the Arts is the only institution in Wisconsin which offers teacher certification programs in the four disciplines of art, dance, music, and theatre. Students completing the certification programs go on to professional teaching careers in public and private schools and in community settings.
