Emerging artist Aneesha Baldeosingh creates paintings and drawings that gives the illusion of space for the viewer to slow down and enter their rich color, texture, and minimal abstraction of atmospheric depth. Born and raised in Trinidad, Baldeosingh grew up loving the world of art, and started to take it seriously at the age of 13. Her work was featured in the Emerging Artist exhibition at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, Wisconsin and the National Wet Paint Exhibition at the Zhou B. Art Center in Chicago, Illinois. She also received special recognition in the Upstream People Gallery Juried Online exhibition and an honorable mention in the Photographers’ Forum College Competition, with her work featured in the book Best of Photography 2010. Baldeosingh graduated with her B.F.A. in Studio Arts from Mississippi University for Women where she won awards for her work, including first place in Drawing and in Overall Achievement. During that time, her work was also accepted into the Mississippi Collegiate Art Competition and the American Juried Art Salon Exhibition.
Baldeosingh is presently an instructor of record and a candidate for the M.F.A. degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
