Anna Brueggeman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Bachelor of Science in Education with and minor in English from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, K-12 Dance Education Certification from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Master in Education from Alverno College. Outside of school, Anna is a full time dance educator at her alma mater Milwaukee High School of the Arts. Prior to returning to MHSA, she directed the dance department and taught English at Gila Ridge High School in Arizona. She has had the pleasure of teaching, choreographing, performing, and directing numerous classes and productions in the Milwaukee area and Arizona. In addition, her work, “Baggage,” was selected and performed at the National High School Dance Festival in Miami, Florida in 2010. Anna has a diverse training background including ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, improvisation, and choreography. Her studies include the American Dance Festival, American College Dance Festival, where she had the privilege have having her work adjudicated, Black College Dance Festival, Dance Masters of Wisconsin and Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, Allyne Gartrell's Dance Connection and Metro Milwaukee Ballet Pre-Professional Ensemble with Rafael Delgado and Melissa Anderson.
