Tony G. Conrad
Tony Conrad is a graduate student and teaching assistant in the painting and drawing area of the Department of Art & Design. Conrad's abstract paintings explore a range of visual realities that are influenced by mystery, imagination, and memory. His most current work explores similar phenomena, focusing on his rural upbringing and investigations of oddities from popular culture. Conrad's work has been exhibited in number of solo, group, and invitational exhibitions and has won a number of awards including the Lawrence Rathsack Scholarship and the Frederick R. Layton Fellowship. Recently, his paintings have been exhibited at the Appleton Art Center and the APW Gallery in NYC.
