Kori Epps

Kori Epps graduated cum laude in 2004 from Palm Beach Atlantic University with degrees in dance and communication. That fall she joined the Demetrius Klein Dance Company in Lake Worth, Florida. She served as assistant to the artistic director from 2007 to 2009. Kori was given the opportunity early on to experience dance in various cultures and languages. She grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where she attended the State Ballet School from age five to fifteen. When her family moved to the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe she had the privilege of training with the ballet masters Ric Jahn and Patricia Ruanne for two years. She also trained at the Dekalb Center for the Arts in Atlanta, Georgia. Kori has attended intensives with Cuballet, Mark Morris, Summer Melt, Performance Improv Exchange in Montreal and Nancy Stark Smith at Earth Dance.
