Courtney Kramer Petrocci is originally from Crystal Lake, Illinois, where she received her formal training with Judith Svalander. In 2003, she graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. After being a member of he Milwaukee Ballet II program for a year and a half, Courtney then joined he Milwaukee Ballet in 2005. In her career at The Milwaukee Ballet, she has had the privilege of performing featured roles in Jerome Robbins' Fancy Free and George Balanchine’s Agon, along with Red Girl in Lila York's Celts, Tiger Lily in Michael Pink's Peter Pan, and Clara and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker. She also has enjoyed working with many other distinguished choreographers including Mauro de Candia, Val Caniparoli, Maurice Causey, Alejandro Cerrudo, Brock Clawson, Trey McIntyre, Matthew Neenan, and Timothy O’Donnell, to name a few. Through the unique relationship between the Milwaukee Ballet and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Dance Department, Courtney has already had the privilege to work with both Professors Luc Vanier and Simone Ferro in world premiere productions. Along with teaching in many distinguished ballet studios throughout the Chicago-land and the greater Milwaukee area, she was a full time member of the faculty for the Milwaukee Ballet International Summer Intensive Program in 2012. While continuing her career with the Milwaukee Ballet, Courtney is excited to begin a new adventure in her MFA at UW-Milwaukee.
