Eryn Mayfield Brown


Eryn Mayfield Brown is a dance teacher and choreographer in the greater Chicagoland area. She received her Bachelors Degree in Dance with a minor in Education from Hunter College of New York City and holds an Illinois State K-12 Dance Teacher Certification. Eryn began teaching at Libertyville High School in 2004 where her curriculum includes modern, ballet, jazz, tap, improvisation, choreography, Pilates, yoga, and aerobic dance. Eryn also serves as director of the LHS Orchesis Dance Company. Under her direction, Orchesis has performed for the Illinois High School Dance Festival, volunteered for the Chicago Dance for Life Performances, and has been involved in arts education in the community by performing and teaching in local elementary schools. Musical theater choreography is an additional passion of Eryn's. She has choreographed West Side Story, CATS, Pippin, Oklahoma, Beauty and the Beast, Anything Goes, The Pajama Game, Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying for various high schools in the Chicagoland area. Along with Eryn's dance teaching credentials, she holds a 600-hour comprehensive Pilates certification and a 200-hour yoga certification.
