Kat Nasti is a dancer, teacher, administrator, and choreographer currently living in the Boston, MA area. After completing her BA in Classical Studies and Theatre from Dickinson College (Carlisle, PA) she moved to New York to pursue dance. In New York, she danced extensively with Alyce Finwall Dance Theatre and worked with many independent choreographers including Skip Costa, Giada Ferrone, Lars Rosager, and Max Stone among others. She was also a dancer with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. She has been a faculty member in the dance department at Muhlenberg College for several years where she also served as the Director of their Community Dance and Pilates Center. After taking on increasing levels of administrative responsibility, she decided to pursue her MBA from Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA). At Lehigh, she was a Graduate Teaching Fellow, President of the MBA Association, and Founder and President of the Lehigh University Chapter of the National Association of Women MBAs. After receiving her MBA, she was offered a position as Director for the Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Research and Graduate Studies at Lehigh. In this position she managed a $2.5M budget and the general operations of a five-office department. While living and working in Bethlehem, PA, she established the community organization the Lehigh Valley Dance Exchange (LVDE). The mission of LVDE is to create a strong professional dance presence in the Lehigh Valley by utilizing the dance talent of various Lehigh Valley arts programs, organizations, and facilities and engaging the community of this area in the creation and performance of new works that speak directly to the people, culture, and issues of the Lehigh Valley. In their 2010 season, LVDE successfully produced 12 shows which included over 20 choreographers and 50 dancers. In early 2011, Kat, her husband, and Boxer puppy moved to the Boston area. She is currently having fun getting to know the Boston dance scene and making friends. She just started teaching ballet to a group of rhythmic gymnasts at New England Sports Academy and is exploring Circus Arts from teacher Steven Santos at Simply Circus in Newton, MA.
