Nicole Wolcott

Nicole Wolcott is a choreographer, teacher and performance artist based in Brooklyn, NY. She has been performing with dance companies, performance artists and video designers around the country for sixteen years. These opportunities have led her to dance in venues as varied as CBGBs, The Metropolitan Opera House and in front of the camera as a featured dancer in Across the Universe, a film by Julie Taymor. In 2003 Nicole co-founded KEIGWIN + COMPANY with her friend Larry Keigwin and continues to be its Associate Director. K+C has presented performances throughout NYC and nationwide at venues including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, New York City Center, The Joyce Theater, The American Dance Festival and more. Besides her collaborative work with Keigwin, Wolcott has created for her own pickup company presenting work at at various venues in New York City including Symphony Space, Dance Theater Workshop, Joyce SoHo, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, PS122, and Dance New Amsterdam and around the country at Summerdance Santa Barbara, Bates Dance Festival, Provincetown Dance Festival, and The University of Utah. Currently she is assisting Larry on a new Broadway show called If/THEN to open in March 2014. Throughout her career, Nicole has enjoyed sharing her passion for dance by teaching to all ages. Currently she is an adjunct professor at Hunter College and directs K+C’s summer intensive at The Juilliard School.
