Alvaro Saar Rios is a professional writer & a performer. He holds an MFA in Writing for the Stage & Screen from Northwestern University and is the co-founder of The Royal Mexican Players, a national touring performance troupe. Mr. Rios is the author of various plays, such as The Crazy Mexican Show, One Hot Texican Summer, and The Mole Hill Stories. His work has been performed in New York City, Hawaii, Chicago, Milwaukee, and all over Texas! At Northwestern, Mr. Rios co-wrote a TV pilot (Prison Boat) that received a Student Production Nomination from the producers of the Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards. Mr. Rios currently has commissions from First Stage(WI) and Houston Grand Opera.
