Stephen R. White
Senior Lecturer, Lighting Design
MFA – Northwestern University
Stephen Roy White uses light to tell stories and has been doing so for over 30 years – over 15 of them at UW/Milwaukee. Along the way his work has been seen in many places including: Renaissance Theatreworks, Northlight Theatre, Drury lane Theatre, Organic Theatre, New American Theatre, Peninsula Players, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, and The Theatre Building where his work on Woman In Black earned a Joseph Jefferson nomination. In addition he enjoys serving as a production advisor on new building projects such as Ten Chimneys’ new program center, Peninsula Players, and Life Church’s new worship space. But at his core Steve loves students. He is a member of the tech production faculty and teaches Intro to Production & Design and the lighting sequence of courses.
