Graduate Certificate in Public Health

UW-Milwaukee, in collaboration with the Milwaukee/Waukesha County Consortium for Emergency Public Health Preparedness, has developed an innovative new public health certificate for working professionals. The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is designed for those involved in health programming, evaluation, education, policy, engineering, administration, research, and other areas related to public health. It is a 15-credit program with courses in each of the five core disciplines recognized by the Council on Education for Public Health: epidemiology, biostatistics, health administration and policy, social and behavioral health, and environmental health.

This certificate program is unique because it allows students to customize their academic plan with a variety of courses and learning formats to meet their professional needs and interests. A range of classes will be offered in the evenings, on the weekends, and online allowing professionals to enroll in the program while continuing to work full-time.

The admission requirement for this academic certificate program is a bachelor’s degree in a biological, physical, or social science with a GPA of 2.75 or above. Transcripts from previous degrees are required for the application process.
