Senior Research Specialist
As senior research specialist Tom is part of a team studying the influence of environmental factors on child developmental disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism. He conducts epidemiological data analysis and is a contributor to research publications and grant submissions.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University, a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Illinois, and a Masters in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. He has had a career focus in health and human service evaluation. His most recent work included analysis and documentation of national healthcare data at a national resource center for researchers at the Veteran’s Healthcare Administration.
His prior research and ongoing interest has emphasized behavioral and psychological factors in a wide range of health and well-being studies including research into early childhood intervention programs, special psychiatric populations and mentally disordered offenders, and studies into the deinstitutionalization of the mentally ill.
