Kathy is a student in the Master of Public Health- Community and Behavioral Health Promotion program. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a B. A. in Public Communication and a Minor in Theater. She has a long history working with tobacco prevention and control programs on local, state, and national levels as a youth advocate, as well as an adult professional. Kathy currently works full-time at the Community Advocates Public Policy Institute, coordinating the City of Milwaukee Tobacco-Free Alliance and assisting with the Milwaukee County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition. Her interests expand further to include addressing health disparities, campaigns and marketing, health communications and media, community development and outreach, and social determinants of health. In her spare time she enjoys running, camping, cooking, volunteering, and showing love for Milwaukee’s theater scene.
