Samantha received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth in Community Health Education with a minor in Biology. She is currently enrolled as a Master’s student in the Community Behavioral Health Promotion track. She is working as a student research assistant with Dr. Ngui on the topic of maternal and child health at the Zilber School of Public Health. This job has taught her various skills in regards with handling qualitative data. Both her academic and professional interest includes working with youth in the area of chronic disease prevention, more specifically in the area of physical activity and nutrition. Upon graduating in the spring of 2014, she hopes to work in the area of chronic disease prevention with a target population of youth.
