See below for contact information of offices that provide school/college approval for students related to late enrollments and withdrawals. Please note that school/college approvals pertain to a student's primary program of study.
School/college approvals are granted by the Graduate School for all graduate students (degree and non-degree), the academic advising office in the school/college for degree-seeking undergraduate students, and the Department of Admissions & Recruitment for non-degree undergraduate students. See below for detailed information.
Students are required to receive school/college approval when adding or dropping classes after published deadlines, or withdrawing from the term after the published deadline. Deadlines can be found on the Registrar's Add/Drop Calendar.
Steps to identify your school/college via PAWS:
- Log in to PAWS (paws.uwm.edu).
- Click on the "My Academics" link in the Academics section of your Student Center.
- A section called "My Program" will appear on the righthand side of the screen.
If your Career is Graduate, your school/college is always the Graduate School.
If your Career is Undergraduate, your school/college is identified in the Program listing (e.g., Business-Undergraduate). If the Program listing indicates University Special, see "Non-Degree Undergraduate Students" below.
