Catalyst Grant Program in Advanced Automation T
he UWM Research Foundation’s Catalyst Grant Program in Advanced Automation is designed to seed promising early stage research in the area of advanced automation. Rockwell Automation, the program’s initial sponsor, has committed $850,000 over a period of five years to the program. The long term objective of the program is to build research capabilities in the area of advanced automation, strengthen corporate partnerships with regional companies, foster collaborative research, and create opportunities for internships and employment of UWM students and graduates. Catalyst Grant Program in the Sciences and Engineering
The UWM Research Foundation is pleased to announce that it will award up to
$500,000 in Catalyst Grants with the support of the Lynde and Harry Bradley
Foundation. These awards will be made to seed promising research in the
sciences and engineering where UWM has the greatest potential to impact
local economy through commercialization activities. Awards of $50,000 to
$150,000 will be made through an accelerated process in conjunction with the
Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation - with target for awards by June 1, 2008.
Investigators are asked to complete a short three page pre-proposal by
Friday, February 15, 2008.
