| Min Chen is an Associate Lecturer in
Mathematics. She teaches Algebra and Statistical Analysis. Ms. Chen
received her Master of Applied Statistics degree at Pennsylvania State
University in 2004. This is her first teaching experience! As her
nominator wrote, Ms. Chen “has gone above and beyond by accommodating
my visual impairment. She checks with me often on my progress … she is
very thorough, patient and kind to me about my accommodations.” Ms. Chen, when asked about her thoughts on teaching, stated, “some of my students were afraid of Math and Statistics. I think what they need from me are encouragement and patience.” And regarding students with disabilities? “I should and want to give them more patience and help.” So simple and yet, so effective. |
