I
started college as a theatre
major, eventually became an
interpreter, and have been in this field since 1985.
My work with college students who are deaf/hard of hearing started in
1988 at
the University
of Wisconsin-Madison as an interpreter and DHH Coordinator. In
1995 I
moved to Milwaukee and began working at UWM. I love working with
students and
faculty, and also having the opportunity as a PEPNet Midwest Outreach
Specialist to
work with people in other DHH programs in the midwest. One of the
greatest benefits about working at UWM is the chance
to watch students set a course, plan a career and graduate! One
of my current interests is video remote interpreting.
