I am very excited to be welcomed to UWM by
such a great community! Unlike many of my colleagues, this city and the
university are new to me. I grew up in Arlington Heights, a suburb of
Chicago, before moving just south of Lexington, Kentucky for my
undergraduate work at Eastern Kentucky University. I graduated with my
Bachelor’s of Science in Interpreting in May of 2006. I received my NIC
Certification during the summer months of that same year just after
taking a job at a Community and Technical College in Northern Kentucky.
