PEPNet-2 Outreach Site

University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (UWM) Student Accessibility Center is proud to have been an outreach site for PEPNet-2 (formerly Midwest Center for Postsecondary Outreach) since 1997. The UWM PEPNet-2 staff has worked hard to carry out PEPNet’s mission of improving transition services and educational access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing including those with co-occurring disabilities, thus enhancing educational opportunities.

In addition to working on national projects, the UWM PEPNet-2 staff are responsible for providing outreach and technical assistance to individuals and institutions in Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

PEPNet, a collaboration of four regional centers, is supported by cooperative agreements with the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.

How can the PEPNet-2 UWM Outreach Site assist you?

Regarding postsecondary and transition deaf/hard of hearing educational issues, we provide:

Telephone and e-mail technical assistance
Regional Roundtable trainings
Outreach training to organizations

Funding PEPNet-2 is funded by the Research to Practice Division, Office of Special Education Programs, US Department of Education via Coorperative Agreement #H326D110003. Funding is provided from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2016.
