(UWM) Student Accessibility Center
is proud to have been an outreach site for PEPNet-Midwest (formerly
Midwest Center for Postsecondary Outreach) since 1997. The
UWM PEPNet-Midwest staff has worked hard to carry out PEPNet’s mission of
improving transition services and educational access for students who
are deaf or hard of hearing including those with co-occurring
disabilities, thus enhancing educational opportunities.
In
addition to working on national projects, the UWM PEPNet-Midwest staff
is responsible for providing outreach and technical assistance to
individuals and institutions in Wisconsin,
Michigan, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. |

PEPNet, a collaboration of four regional
centers, is supported by cooperative agreements with the U.S.
Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
