STUDENT ORGANIZATION REGISTRATION RENEWALS
Renewal forms were sent out last week via campus mail. All student organizations
must fill out, sign, and return their form prior to September 23rd
to remain active on campus. Groups failing to turn in their renewal
forms will become inactive and lose all university privileges, such
as: segregated fee funding, room reservations, office space, etc. The
form is required, even if you turned in a change of officer form in
the summer. We encourage people to get them in sooner, so that new
students can be given more accurate information about clubs and groups
on campus. Please check with all your officers to make sure someone
turns in this form by the posted deadline.

a ROPES course, learn about their Myers Briggs personality type, and
meet several campus administrators. Most of all - retreat goers will
have fun with numerous activities such as: kickball, capture the flag,
and a bonfire social. The retreat is free and open to all students.

FALL SAC MEETINGS
The last update incorrectly stated SAC meeting will be on Monday nights.
SAC meetings will be on Tuesday nights. All the dates listed in the email
were correct (9/13, 9/27, 10/11, 11/8, 11/22, & 12/6). The most up-to-date
information on SAC can be found at: http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/SOAR/Finance/SAC/SACForms.html
CONTRACTS ARE NOT TO BE SIGNED BY STUDENTS
If are planning to use any money given to your group through segregated
fees (SAC, check-off, or SFC) please see a Student Activities Advisor
prior to making any arrangement with a speaker, band, DJ, hotel, or any
other person that is requiring you to sign a contract. If money from
your Student Activities account will be used to pay a portion or the
entire contract, the UWM purchasing department staff are the only individuals
allowed to sign the contract. IT TAKES 32 DAYS to process a contract,
so if you are planning an event, YOU MUST ALLOW ENOUGH TIME time for
the contract to be processed or segregated fees can not be used.
