STUDENT ORGANIZATION INFORMATION SESSIONS
The
Student Activities - Organization Resource Center located in the Union
WG85 will be hosting informational workshops for Spring 2006. These
sessions will be able to answer your questions you may have on rules,
procedures, deadlines etc. The workshops will start Monday, March 13th
at 12:30pm and Tuesday, March 14th at 6pm each lasting an hour. There
will be sessions every other week after these dates until May 8th and
9th. If you have specific questions you would like answered at the workshops
email Samantha at sjv@uwm.edu.
SAC FALL 2006 FUNDING MEETING
The large grant meeting for fall 2006 (requests
over $700) has been set. It will be held on Saturday, 4/22/06, beginning
at 10 am. All grant
request forms/packets will be due in the Center for Student Involvement on
Friday, 4/7/06 before noon. SAC is currently updating the funding forms
and will make the 2006-2007 forms available shortly. DO NOT use this
year’s form to request money for next semester. A separate email
will be sent out when the forms are available and how to get them.
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS CEREMONY

Achievement Awards Ceremony at: http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/sao/Awards/Awards.htm and in the Center for Student Involvement, rooms 350 and WG85 in the Union. Each year student organizations
at UWM go above expectations and prove to be exemplary. This year was
no different. Students and student organizations have worked hard to
develop, grow, and obtain their goals. The Center for Student Involvement
wants to recognize these students and their organizations. The Deadline
for the nomination forms are March 31st at 2:30pm.

WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
In honor of Women's History Month, UWM is
hosting a variety of events ranging from lectures to awards ceremonies,
to "The Vagina Monologues" to
workshops to a film festival. Please attend these events and spread the
word to your students! If you would like any print calendars for the

BREAST CANCER WALK
The American Cancer Society in Milwaukee is preparing
for its 2006 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, May
7. It is the number
one breast cancer pledge-based event in the United States. Making Strides
Against Breast Cancer is a non-competitive, 5k walk consisting of teams
of friends and family members from the Milwaukee area. Each team raises
money through donations to help fight breast cancer. There is no registration
fee for participating, just the promise to ask your friends and family
for their support. Please log on to www.acsevents.org/MSABC/wi/milwaukee and
you can start your own team of walkers today! It’s great opportunity
and event for all student activities including fraternities and sororities.
